It would be a tie. I had two favorite series this year (I’m cheating, I know :P). I loved Megan Whalen Turner’s The Queen’s Thief series as well as Lindsay Buroker’s The Emperor’s Edge series.

  2. Breenah

My top books this year were A Little Bit Wicked by Kristin Chenoweth, Angry Housewives Eating Bon Bons by Lorna Landvik, and all the YA sci-fi/supernatural stuff I read (Divergent, Bloodlines, etc).

  4. Jessica @ a GREAT read

Favorite read…favorite read…oh gosh! It gets to the point where I’ve already read sooo much this year that I can’t recall what’s been one of my most faves! Just scrolled through my GR challenge (and found 2 books on it twice! thankfully I already completed said challenge!)

Looking back I would say Briar Rose by Jana Oliver (one of my first reads for 2014) was one of my faves!! It was just soooo awesome! An amazing retelling/reimagining of the Sleeping Beauty fairy tale! I LOVED it!!

A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray was also really good!! There were too many to choose from really!

  5. Anita Yancey

I really enjoyed The Dark Duke by Laura Landon, The Night Searchers by Marcia Muller, Eyes On You by Kate White, and Dead Out by Jon McCoran. Thanks for having this giveaway.

I really enjoyed Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi, and looking forward to read the rest of the series.

  11. Esperanza Gailliard

I really enjoyed the book My Thinning Years! It was a memoir and it really had me turning pages! I enjoyed it and recommend to others that want to help youth that are having a difficult home life due to being LGBT. I also feel that it can help open minds of teachers that are on the look out for depression and eating disorders in their classrooms.

  12. Valerie Pennington

My favorite book of this year was Compulsion by Martina Boone! Oh Eight, he’s so sexy. :) I’ve never read Winner’s Curse and I’m really excited! Thanks for the giveaway!

There are so many!! (In no particular order)

We Were Liars by E. Lockhart — I read this in June and it’s still on my mind. It’s on many Best of 2014 lists for a reason!! This review by Parade.com says it best, “A rich, stunning summer mystery with a sharp twist that will leave you dying to talk about the book with a pal or ten.”

On the Fence by Kasie West — Loved this book. Four words: older brother’s best friend!

The Geography of You and Me by Jennifer E. Smith — This book left me with the biggest “just finished a good book” high this year.

What I Thought Was True by Huntley Fitzpatrick — Love her and can’t wait for her next book.

Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins — This definitely was a happy ending for the Anna and the French Kiss Series.

  14. Liat

I think my favorite new authors that I first read this year (why did I only discover them now?? They’re awesome!!) are Megan Whalen Turner and Juliet Marillier.

  15. Michelle Sedeño

There are lots! One of the books that really stuck to me was Of Metal and Wishes by Sarah Fine. I also recently finished Heather Demetrios’ Exquisite Captive and loved it. You should read them too! ;)

  16. Natalie

Opposition by Jennifer L. Armentrout was brilliant! I love me some Daemon Black. Queen of Zombie Hearts by Gena Showalter, ugh, swoon much? Worlds Collide by S. M Eachern was a fantastic sequel, Jack is still beautiful!! Thank you for the giveaway!

  17. Aimee Nelson

My favorite read so far this year has been the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas!! If you haven’t read it you should! Its Amazing! It has a little bit of everything, action, romance, mystery, and magic!!

  18. Isa

I loved Cress, The Raven Cycle series, The Girl of Fire and Thorns, The Knife of Never Letting Go, and Teeth. Thank you for the giveaway, enjoy your day. :)

  19. Krystianna @ Downright Dystopian

My favorite reads of 2014 would have to be Ready Player One by Ernest Cline and A Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin. I’m not even done with A Game of Thrones yet but I can tell it’s already going to be a favorite! I also really enjoyed Anna Bank’s Of Poseidon trilogy, it was so good! Thank you so much for the giveaway. :)
