For this mini-challenge we were asked to write a letter to our blogging selves. “You can write about whatever you’d like – advice you would give your younger self, things you would tell yourself to stop doing, things you’d tell yourself to continue doing, or things you’d tell yourself to start doing.” Okey dokey!! :D
January marked your second year of blogging. Congratulations! I am so incredibly proud of you.
You haven’t really been known for sticking with hobbies very long. Remember the photography phase, when you bought that expensive camera? Yeah, that didn’t really stick. Or the other times you attempted to blog about life because you wrote a few posts on MySpace that you thought were pretty good? Nah. That wasn’t for you either.
Who would have thought that the one to stick would be the one hobby from your childhood. Reading. Since 2009 you’ve read about 500 books. Can you believe that?! 500!!
And starting this book blog? YES! A perfect fit! Though you sometimes aren’t very organized, you try really hard to make sure your posts are ready to go each day. Try not to get stressed out about it though. It is perfectly ok to take breaks from posting. Your readers will not disappear if you don’t post for a few days. Relax.
My advice to you, for this year, is to read more of the books you already own. There’s a reason you bought them in the first place! Don’t get too caught up in new releases or advance reader copies. Remember you started this blog for you, for fun.
I guess that’s all for now. Just do what I say and nobody will get hurt! (This letter has taken a weird turn.)
LOVE YOU LOTS!
