The sweetest temptation

Sophie Sullivan fell head over heels for Jake McCann at the age of five. Twenty years later, the notorious bad boy still sees her as the "nice" Sullivan twin. When they both get caught up in the magic of the first Sullivan wedding, she knows it's time to make him see her for who she truly is - the woman who will love him forever.

Jake has always been a magnet for women, but the only woman he really wants is the one he can never have. Not only is Sophie his best friend's off-limits sister - he can't risk letting her get close enough to discover his deeply hidden secret.

But when Sophie appears on his doorstep, Jake's every fantasy comes to life, and he doesn't have a hope of taking his eyes, or hands, off her. Jake knows loving Sophie isn't the right thing to do, but one look at her and he knows he can't possibly resist.

So my love affair with The Sullivans continues, you guys. I was really looking forward to this book because our sexy librarian, Sophie Sullivan, has pined for Jake since she was 5! And she finally gets him! But I was not expecting how their love story would unravel. From the moment these two first kiss it is fireworks. The sexy and steamy factor continues throughout the whole book. I was really surprised at how that happened every time they were together, but I guess years of pent up desire will do that to people.

So the thing happens, I won’t tell you what so I don’t spoil it, but it happens and now to tell the Sullivans about it. I felt so bad for Jake because he never felt worthy of Sophie and now the Sullivan men are all but confirming his feelings about it. I get that they’re protective, but c’mon Smith! I loved the way Zach and Jake worked it out. Quick and nasty fight, then they pretty much hugged it out. Ha!

I’m glad Jake didn’t run after that though and tried to wallow about it like in the beginning. He really showed what an accountable man he is, despite him thinking otherwise. And Sophie! Sophie grew into this bold character that I just loved. She pretty much left everyone reeling because they all thought she was something that was only a small part of who she actually is.

Each time I read a new Sullivans book, it becomes my new favorite. I love when a series can do that, especially in romance. And if you’re wondering if you can start it out of order, you totally can! So jump right in. :)

I read Kissing Under the Mistletoe in December and really liked it. So I definitely want to read more of Bella Andre’s Sullivan series. I’m glad you can read them out of order, because I REALLY want to read this one now. I love books with shy heroines (because I’m shy) and the fact that Sophie is a LIBRARIAN (me too!!) I pretty much need to read this ASAP. Also, I’m a sucker for unrequited love stories.

    Thanks for the review.
