Being a different breed of shapeshifter-a walker-Mercy Thompson can see ghosts, but the spirit of her long-gone father has never visited her. Until now, on her honeymoon with the Alpha werewolf Adam. An evil is stirring in the depths of the Columbia River-and innocent people are dying. As other walkers make their presence known to Mercy, she must reconnect with her heritage to exorcise the world of the legend known as the river devil...

I think what I enjoyed most about River Marked is ALL THE MERCY AND ADAM GOODNESS!! We had yet to have a book in this series where they were featured as a couple so predominately.

It was so fun seeing their wedding happen and them taking off on their honeymoon, which OF COURSE would be interrupted by something crazy. Still, it was nice seeing them spend so much time together, alone.

This book also really told us a lot about Mercy’s heritage and supernatural power, which we didn’t have a lot of detail on before. And it wouldn’t be a Mercy Thompson installment without her getting put through the wringer. SIGH! Poor Mercy. She’s really banged up at the end of this one!

I can’t believe how I’m almost caught up with this series. I’m currently still reading Frost Burned because I got stuck in a reading slump this past month, but I think it’s time to kick things back up. :) Onward!!

Shapeshifters and ghosts? Wow, this series sounds awesome! The synopsis caught my attention and then I realized this isn’t the first book so I hope I didn’t figure out anything that’s a big deal. Reading your review definitely added to the curiosity for this book. Great review!
