She may be aloof, and more pretty than gorgeous, but Alani Rivers is the kind of woman a hot-blooded mercenary can't forget, no matter how hard he tries. So when Jackson Savor wakes up next to the naked, sleeping beauty—with no memory of what happened— he knows he's been drugged…even if Alani doesn't.

After she was kidnapped, Alani vowed never to trust another man again. Still, something about this strong, sexy hero with the tender touch makes her want to believe him. As Jackson hunts down a mysterious intruder, he swears he'll move heaven and earth to keep Alani safe. But what really happened that night? And will the truth bring them closer than they ever thought possible—or put Alani squarely in harm's way again?

Jackson Savor piqued my interest in Trace of Fever, book two of the Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor series. He was cocky and funny and completely irresistible, with his well-worn jeans, cowboy boots and hat. He was still all of those things in Savor the Danger, except now he had a little something else…vulnerability. And it really is too bad he can’t remember any of the details from his night with Alani, considering I wouldn’t mind knowing what all happened myself.

I really had no idea how sheltered Alani was until this book. I knew her brother, Trace, kept her that way, but I never knew the extent. I loved her take-no-crap from the men in my life attitude. She really did seem a lot more meek than that in the previous books, but she can put Trace, Dare, and Jackson in their places with just a look!

The action in this book is not as prominent as it was in the others…mostly because it’s Jackson and Alani in hiding from the people after them. That may be why it wasn’t my favorite of the three books in the series so far.

I did enjoy Jackson and Alani’s chemistry very much though. They were very sexy together. Also! I was very intrigued by the introduction of our next installment’s characters. They seem like they’re going to burn up the pages of A Perfect Storm. (Have you seen the cover of that book?! HolyRainyHotness, Batman! See HERE!) If you haven’t picked up this series yet, you’ve been missing out on some hotties, so go out and find it! :)

I haven’t read anything by Lori Foster – but your review has me curious. I’m in need of a good “Adult Fiction” book — I feel like all I read is YA anymore — so this could be a good place to start!

Ha! Jackson’s book was my favorite, but that’s probably because most of the action took place in the bedroom. LOL

I have A Perfect Storm on my nightstand. I like the cover before I got to bed every night. J/K… kind of.

Trace is definitely my favorite so far…I still love Jackson and Dare though! :) I didn’t mind the bedroom action all that much, to be honest, HAHA

I have A Perfect Storm too…and I drool over it often teehee :)
