In Georgina Kincaid, succubus and she-demon, #1 New York Times bestselling author Richelle Mead has created one of her most enticing characters. But with a shot at love, and maybe even redemption, is the ultimate seductress finally going soft? Like hell she is...

Georgina Kincaid has had an eternity to figure out the opposite sex, but sometimes they still surprise her. Take Seth Mortensen. The man has risked his soul to become Georgina's boyfriend. Still, with Lucifer for a boss, Georgina can't just hang up her killer heels and settle down to domestic bliss. In fact, she's being forced to transfer operations...to Las Vegas.

The City of Sin is a dream gig for a succubus, but Georgina's allies are suspicious. Why are the powers-that-be so eager to get her away from Seattle and from Seth? Georgina is one of Hell's most valuable assets, but if there's any way out of the succubus business she plans to take it, no matter how much roadkill she leaves behind. She just hopes the casualties won't include the one man she's risking everything for...

It’s here. Succubus Revealed, the last book in one of my all-time favorite series has come…and gone. My love affair with it began last year, when I read the first four books in a span of a ten days. I couldn’t believe how these books affected me SO much! I was devastated after book three and the fourth one was just as heartbreaking. Waiting for the fifth book was agony, but once it arrived and I read it, hope for that happy ending was rekindled.

If you’ve read them, that whole paragraph has made sense to you. If you haven’t, I’m sorry…and you should really move them up your TBR pile. I guarantee that they will shatter your expectations. This isn’t your typical Urban-Fantasy story. It’s deep! It’s about love and hope, and the way Richelle Mead tells it is bound to leave an impression on you. It did for me. I love this series more than Vampire Academy and the Dark Swan series! But anyway, lets get to it.

Finally discovering the truth behind the mystery surrounding Georgina and Seth’s connection was the number one thing I was looking forward to in this book. The events in the other books in the series have all led up to it. And, oh, I loved seeing even the smallest ones come into play. View Spoiler »

SO! Let the spoiler-fest begin!

Ever since I started reading about Georgina’s past personas and the men she loved in that particular time, I began to suspect they were Seth. I suspected it was her Kyriakos, the husband she cheated on and sold her soul for all those centuries ago, reborn over and over, always finding each other, never meant to be together. Well, my suspicions were certainly validated when they turned out to be right. I actually bounced off the bed and did a little dance while yelling, “Yes! Yes! I knew it! I freaking knew it!!” However, my giddiness was short lived. My heart broke for both Seth and Georgina when they discovered the truth about Seth. He had to relive all the hurt she caused him in all of his past lives, especially the first one, and she had to watch him suffer through it again. After the fourth or fifth book, I had also began to suspect it had been a deal he had made with Hell. The details of it, I could not have even began to guess. They made my heart ache for Seth.

One thing I did not see coming was that Roman would turn out to be the hero in this story. I mean…what a sacrifice he made for Georgina! To be able to giver her happiness and freedom was so selfless, but I guess being able to stick it to Hell was for just for him. If Richelle Mead ever wanted to write a spin-off of this series, it should be about Roman. Although, we don’t really know how it ended for him. He may not be available for a spin-off, which leaves me very sad, but since there was no definitive answer to his fate, I’m keeping my hopes up that he’s alive and well somewhere.

Another thing I will miss about this series besides Georgina and Seth? The gang. Hugh (who was also a hero in this book), Peter, Cody, Jerome (I loved his bitchy, no-nonsense attitude), and last but certainly not least, Carter. Where will I find another group of immortals that will make me laugh as you did, guys?! There’s no other like you. [SAD face] The Unholy Rollers will forever live in my heart.

And speaking of Carter…that scene where he goes sees the Mortensens as Santa was one of the best moments in this series. I laughed while crying because I was so touched by him. It’s easy to forget he’s an angel, what with his grungy appearance and love for alcohol and cigarettes, but that moment really made him shine. I just loved it.

END OF SPOILERS! Promise. :)

The end of the book is perfect. I can assure you I’ll reread it many, many times with a huge smile on my face. I just couldn’t be happier with how it all ended. If you’re worried it will let you down, don’t be. I just don’t know any other way to put it, I loved it.

O.k! So I am totally in love with this series and agree I love it more than VA. So I just had a quick look at the top of the review and quickly turned away and blindly scrolled down. I can not wait to get this book. I am going to try my hardest to not look at anymore reviews.
I completly understand how you felt about how it evokes such emotions in you, I too was devistated, I had never felt so strongly for what the characters were experiencing. I laughed, I worried, I sobbed like baby. It is amaaaazing. I think everyone who hasn’t read these should do so. They are my all time favourite series.
Thanks for clearly marking out the spoilers and making me even more excited about the last book. Squueeeeeee….

I’m so excited. I loved Vampire Academy and read the GK series last year. I was so surprised how much I loved it, after the so-so first book. Ecstatic that this one is excellent, though I did not read any of your spoilers LOL.

  3. Bookgoonie

Only read to the spoiler alert. I haven’t read any of her series ;(. Got to fit them in somewhere.

  4. Lovesfabromance

I loved this book too –  it ended the series on a terrific note.  The scene between Carter and Georgina at the end just floored me…  I loved Seth’s little niece and maybe we could get a spin-off of her???

  5. [email protected] GREAT read

All right Jess! Now I can’t wait to read it! And I didn’t even read the whole review since you had spoilers posted before warning me–thanks for that! I want to be totally surprised! Sooo can’t wait to read it, hoping Richelle’s signed it already since she had her baby Friday! Really hoping cause I want to read that and Bloodlines and the VA graphic novel!!

Great review! Might come back and read the whole thing after I’ve read the book!

    We forgot to chat!

I wasn’t expecting that out of Roman either…I loved him a bit for what he did!
For some reason, I felt like all of the pieces came together a bit too quick…like Roman pulled the answers out of a magician’s hat, lol. Don’t get me wrong I LOVED the story!

Oh yeah, I would have liked better sexytimes as well! See one of my favorite adult series EVER!

    Great review! :)

I just got done with the book. Ohmigosh it was such an emotional rollerocoaster. I could not stop crying in so many parts. I loved this ending, but I really wish Mead would go back and do some more with the Unholy Rollers and maybe clear up things with Roman (crosses fingers that Roman is not gone). Loved this post!

Gah! Seeing this after a year makes me want to re-read the books again.
Like you, I fell in love with this series instantly. Its my fav Richelle Mead series, and I couldn’t believe how quickly we came to the final book.

Seth and Georgina’s story was so beautiful and heartbreaking. But thankfully there was a payoff for all the angst and heartbreak they went through.

Roman. He was quite the surprise. I too would sign for a spinoff. I like to think he is still alive, but maybe in hell, or some punishment. Can we sign some petition and send it to Richelle? hah.
I loved Carter.. I was not surprised he had something to do with the whole Seth and Georgina thing. I always suspected it with his match making abilities.
