TGIF!

TGIF is a weekly feature created and hosted by GReads! that re-caps the week’s posts and has different question each week.

This week’s question: Recommend It: Which book from the last 10 you’ve read would you recommend to a friend?

The Sky Is Everywhere by Jandy NelsonI’ve been lucky to have read an awesome last ten books! (Does that sentence make sense? Lol) But since the question asks for ONE from that last ten, I must go with the first book I read in 2012:

This book completely stole my heart. I have yet to be able and write a review for it, so I’m kind of glad for this question so I can show it off to you guys and URGE you to read it!

The writing is just incredible and the characters have nestled into my heart forever.

Seriously…READ IT!

Follow Friday

Follow My Book Blog Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee’s View and Alison Can Read where we all get together and say HI!

This week’s question: What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done to get your hands on any particular book?

Does driving to New Orleans to attend the ALA conference count? Because I think that’s as craziest it gets…and it was to get my hands on Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins, mainly. I ended up getting other fabulous books too, but that is the one I would have trampled over people for.

Yes, I think The Sky Is Everywhere is fantastic too! It makes me want to keysmash and have hearts in my eyes. So lovely and heartwarming. Haha, that’s a great story for Lola! I’m sure loads of other people would do the same.

Loved The Sky is Everywhere! Such a great book. As for the craziest things, don’t worry I haven’t done anything so crazy for a book. :)

Love this cover! [: I haven’t heard much about this one, so is good to see someone really enjoying it. I will definitely be adding it to my never ending wishlist. [: Thanks for the recommendation!!

I’ve not heard of this book, I’ll have to check it out now. And I’d say LOLA is so worth that trip! :D Loved that book so much. Epic cuteness.

  5. [email protected] GREAT read

Yeah, I’ve done things like that. Like pay $75 to attend Bouchercon for 1 day to see 3 of my fave authors. Since it was 3 and 1 was one I never met ever, I found it to be totally worth the money. Got a few freebie books too, haven’t gotten to reading the ones I wanted to read yet though!

    Have a GREAT weekend!

I’ve heard great things about The Sky Is Everywhere one but I haven’t read it yet. I’ve heard it is heart-swelling, just like you say. I almost didn’t recognize it because of this cover…I’m so used to seeing the other one with the blue and the hearts.

I don’t really think I’ve ever done anything crazy for a book before. Buying them is about as crazy as I get! And that’s because I’m so tight on myself with my budget. HA!

Haven’t done your TGIF book. But looking forward to that review. Love the vines on the cover.

As far as the craziest thing I’ve done for a book…I dragged my hubby to a midnight release of Breaking Dawn. He was game to go with me (obvi. neither of us thought this through before going). He ended up being one of 4 men at B&N, clinging to my side so as not to be confused with a pedophile. Hahahahahaha, so I guess it wasn’t crazy for me, but the hubs seriously regretted the experience!

I also liked The Sky is Everywhere!       I had a friend who went to ALA in New Orleans and she had a great time.   Too far for me, though —  I live outside Chicago, so I usually just go when it’s here.    But, might make a road trip if it’s somewhere else….

    Have a great Friday!

If you went to ALA primarily for a book? A little crazy ;) But since it’s Lola? Not crazy at all! I would have done the same.

I really (REALLY) want to read The Sky is Everywhere.

Stop by and see my TGIF / Follow Friday this week!

I would have done the exact same thing for Lola (which was an awesome book, by the way!). And I can’t wait to read The Sky is Everywhere. I’m meaning to check it out of the library soon :)

Stopping by for the follow hop. Nice answer! Driving out to anywhere to get a book you desperately want is always worth it. :P

Ahh I still need to go to an ALA conference someday, but they’re always so far away! I have not yet read anything by Stephanie Perkins, even though Anna and the French Kiss has been at the top of my TBR pile for like 8 months now– need to get on that because I hear it was fabulous!
