TGIF!

TGIF is a weekly feature created and hosted by GReads! that re-caps the week’s posts and has different question each week.

This week’s question: Required Reading: Which book from your school days do you remember reading & enjoying? Is there a book published now that you’d like to see in today’s curriculum for kids?

Great_expectations

Great_expectations_posterI have a HORRIBLE memory…and I didn’t work too hard in high school to be honest. The only book I remember reading is Great Expectations. I’m sure I read others, but I seriously can’t remember. I do remember liking Great Expectations though! And I liked it e
ven more after we got to watch the 1946 film…and I really loved the 1998 movie as well.

I don’t really know which book I would like to see in today’s curriculum though… so many!

Favorite reading spot!

A post shared by Jess (@gonewiththeword) on

That’s my couch. :) I like to lay against that pillow, with the window behind me giving me some awesome light during the day. Oh, and that’s my foot, wrapped in my favorite blanket. Normally there’s books stacked against the back of the couch…there’s one now! But I just cleaned that area up, lol.

  1. Jessica@a GREAT read

Comfy! I like reading in my bed! My bed is sort of my personal couch for my bedroom!  A lot of people tend to like the Great Gatsby from school. I didn’t care for it all that much. I had a hard time finding school books that I enjoyed. Really there was only one…

It was hard for me to remember what books I liked from high school too – I do remember Wuthering Heights and for some reason I still love it to this day!

Looks comfy!  I love when I can read with good, natural light.  Which isn’t an issue really with the iPad, but I still find myself opening the windows “for light” even though its backlit.  Strange habits.

Your reading spot looks really comfy! I never read Great Expectations, I really need to add that to my list! :)
