Ok, so I had to scroll a bit to find my most recent five star reads. In fact, these are books I read between September 2015 and now! It’s crazy to me that I don’t have more in these last six months… I have a lot of four stars though. Anyway, here are my picks:
After You (Me Before You #2) by Jojo Moyes – It was the book I didn’t know I needed. (Full review)
Anything for You (Blue Heron #5) by Kristan Higgins – All my Blue Heron peeps are happy now! (Full review)
The Boy Most Likely To (My Life Next Door #2) by Huntley Fitzpatrick – This book really exceeded my expectations!
The 5th Wave (The 5th Wave #1) by Rick Yancey – I was NOT expecting to like this as much as I did!! SOOOO GOOD! (The movie was good too, but the book is WAY better. And I never say that because I believe in separating the two mediums, so that should tell you something.)
November 9 by Colleen Hoover – It was my first CoHo read and I LOVED IT! (Full review)
Ruthless by Carolyn Lee Adams – The fact that I rated this a 5 star is surprising even to me because I was really leery about reading it. It was the ending that got me though, I’m pretty sure I was actually biting my nails.
Winter by Marissa Meyer – I was a little late getting into this series, the only book I had to wait to be released was this one, and it was totally worth it. To finally be able to get to know Winter was awesome, but to finally see the end of Levana was even better. I didn’t want this series to end so that was hard but the way it ended was SO good!
Illuminae by Aime Kaufman and Jay Kristof – THIS BOOK THOUGH! I literally stumbled on this book at BEA last year, I kept seeing it in the Penguin Random House booth; stacks and stacks of them, everywhere. I walked by it several times and finally grabbed one simply because I thought if they were pushing it so hard something about it must be good. I’ve heard a lot of authors boast about how their book is “like nothing you’ve ever read before” but this one is FOR REAL! (Full review)
Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas – I looked back at my Goodreads status updates on this book, one of the last ones I posted is “ Oh Gods NOOO! What the hell!” One of my favorite things about this series is how it all feels like one huge story, yes yes I know there are 4 books but it really doesn’t feel like it, it’s like a really long movie, or like you and your bestie are catching up on life. I know some people don’t like how much Aelin has changed, they don’t think she is “herself”, it’s because she isn’t! The character growth in these novels are amazing and I find it refreshing. I really could go on and on about this book but I won’t but I absolutely loved it.
The Dream Thieves by Maggie Stiefvater – Out of all the books in the Raven Cycle, this is the only one I rated with 5 stars (all the others got 4). Ronan can actually remove things from his dreams…how awesome would that be? I think this one is my favorite in the series because it answers some of my questions from The Raven Boys and it literally left me with my mouth hanging open.

The Boy most likely too looks like one I would enjoy!
Rissi
Sarah J. Maas’, and Marissa Meyer’s respective (and I suspect EPIC) series on still on my “must read” list. Also, curious to read “Me Before You.”

I am so happy that you think THE DREAM THIEVES is a 5-star book. You must have a ARC of it. Jealous.

Amazing list! Loads on here that I want to get my hands on. I really need to get to reading Illuminae. The hype scares me a little though.
Rachel Lightwood @ Quite the Novel Idea
Ashley: I was so, so surprised by Ruthless too. I don’t know what I thought it was about before going into it, but I didn’t expect such a thrilling read!
Jess: I’ve only read Hoover’s Maybe Someday so I really need to get a move on a read more of her books. I’ve heard mixed things about her newer books but the covers are so damn gorgeous and they sound good.
Jessica @ a GREAT read
Ooh nice! I LOVED The 5th Wave! This too long wait for The Last Star has been torture!!
Here’s my Tuesday Post

I enjoyed The 5th Wave! I am going to read After You because you liked it so much. It was one I was like I don’t know if I want her after story :)

I haven’t been able to read After You yet. I have it in my tbr pile, but I’m not sufficiently recovered from Me Before You to brave it!
Lenore
I haven’t read any of these books, but all 5 of Jess’s picks are on my TBR list, so I guess I better get on that! :)

Girls, your lists are the best. And I am really excited now because I have been in SUCH A FUNK and nothing is pleasing me and I am not excited about reading. So- I am basically bouncing now. I have been waffling about whether I needed to read After You and Jess, you have convinced me. It needs to happen. I also wasn’t sure about November 9, but I have seen more good than bad, I just need to do it.
Ashley, I just borrowed the Dream Thieves from the Library and plan on diving in sometime this evening. I also am dying to read Illuminea- but I just committed myself to not start a new series until I finished two. So, hopefully soon.
Great lists girls!

I really loved The Boy Most Likely To. I was scared because My Life Next Door was so perfect, but Tim’s story was just as addicting. The Dream Thieves is a great book. It did make me kind of mad at my fave character Adam though. He was really frustrating in that book. Also Maggie has said that’s her most “Maggie-like” book, so I’d say that means it’s her favorite too :)
Lauren @ Always Me
Winter and Illuminae made my list, too! :) Plus, I’m really excited for The Raven King’s release!

Illuminae and Winter were two of my favorite books of 2015, so I am so glad you enjoyed them as much as I did Ashley!
And Jess – I read The 5th Wave a while ago and really enjoyed it as well. Glad you did too. :)
Thanks for sharing and, as always, fabulous post! <3

Ahh, Ashley, I am SO pleased that you gave Winter (best series finale ever) and Queen of Shadows (such amazing story and character development) five stars! Those are two five star reads for me as well ;) And Jess, I’m pleased to see you enjoyed After You. I’ve still got to read that one!
