Top Ten Tuesday: Books From Past Three Years That Have Become All-Time Faves

There have been some REALLY amazing books these last three years. Here’s the ones that have become all-time favorites!

2012

Something Like Normal
The Fault in our Stars
Until There Was You
The Sky is Everywhere

SO MANY TEARS! And so much love, too…

2013

Where the Stars Still Shine
Just One Day
Me Before You

So beautiful.. yes, the books, but, RYAN.

2014

One Plus One
The Winner’s Curse
The Raven Boys

Like, I just hugged these and kissed the covers, they were so amazing.

Bonus – Series!

Daughter of Smoke & Bone
The Infernal Devices
Legend

I could not have this post and NOT mention these three trilogies. Thinking back on these last three years of reading, I haven’t read many series from beginning to end that I’ve loved as completely as these.

Ooh, loved how you divided it up for each year. I also read The Winner’s Curse and thought it was amazing! I’m going to pick up Daughter of Smoke and Bone soon, and I should probably also try The Raven Boys.

(Also, loved the accurate gif usage.)

Hey, visiting from the TTT link-up!
Oh, I haven’t read any of these books, but goodness, “Where the Stars Still Shine” is such an amazing title. Makes me wish I had come up with it first. :) I think I’ll have to go and check it out…

I LOVE how you did it by year!! That was a great idea of listing the books :) And the GIFs go amazingly correlating the picks haha! I still have to finish Smoke & Bone series but I do love those books and I had Just One Day on my list too….ugh that BOOK THO!! And I SWEAR i’m starting Raven Boys this month! I HAVE TO!

  4. Quinn's Book Nook

Something Like Normal. I read that at the beginning of this year and holy cow it’s amazing! I need to read more by Doller. And yay for The Raven Boys. Love those books, too. And TFIOS!

I love the way you broke it down by year. I thought about doing that AFTER I was through most of the post. I had referenced the blogging year, but I should have done two from each year. Love that you did! WINNER’S CURSE is my favorite on this list! I can’t wait to read RAVEN BOYS once all four are out!

Daughter of Smoke and Bone and The Sky Is Everywhere definitely made my list too! I’ve wanted to read Something Like Normal and Where The Stars Still Shine for so long now it’s just getting ridiculous. And I completely agree with you about The Winner’s Curse and Clockwork Angel too :)

    Fantastic list Jess!

  7. Krystianna @ Downright Dystopian

Just One Day made my list too! It was so amazing and I loved the companion just as much. I really need to check out The Raven Boys-It sounds like something I’d love! I really adore Maggie Stiefvater’s writing style. I also need to catch up with Cassandra Clare’s books! I’ve only read the first two books in the mortal instruments series and I’ve not even started the infernal devices! Great list! :)

I completely agree with your series comment. Daughter of Smoke and Bone is a trilogy I collect in different editions now, I loved it so much. And of all of Clare’s books, the only series/trilogy I ever enjoyed without cringing at the dialogue or action sequences was Infernal Devices. LOVE it. Probably because it was an extended twist on Tale of Two Cities ;)

You chose a lot of books that are deeply emotional! Jojo Moyes…Winner’s Crime (holy crap emotional AND frustrating, it was perfect)…TFiOS…

I love some of your selections… JoJo moyes and John Green are great writers. I really enjoyed me before you. My fave series in the last 3 years (dysotpian bent), is ‘The uglies’. The latter books weren’t as good as the first two but I did enjoy them. A couple of others for me were Station Eleven, Eleanor and Park & Quiet. Happy reading

So many great books on your list! I love Trish Doller, The Infernal Devices, The Daughter of Smoke and Bone, and Gayle Forman! I think I’m going to have to break down soon and read some Jojo Moyes and Maggie Steifvater.

I’ve been hearing so many great things about Me Before You and I eye it every time I find myself in Target looking around. I loved Where the Stars Still Shine and I really want to read Something Like Normal. The Winner’s Curse is on so many lists today. I really need to find the time to read it already!

  12. Danielle @ Love at First Page

So many fantastic choices, Jess! I love The Fault in Our Stars, The Raven Boys, The Winner’s Curse, and Something Like Normal! Many of these I hope to read soon, especially Daughter of Smoke and Bone. :)
