Top Ten Tuesday: Favorite Books I Read in 2011

Clockwork Prince (The Infernal Devices #2) by Cassandra Clare
This could possibly be my favorite Cassandra Clare book…for serious! The heartbreak is Jane Austen good… *sigh*

Delirium (Delirium #1) by Lauren Oliver
Oh, my sweet, dear Alex…I need Pandemonium NOW!!

Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins
I mean…it’s Cricket Bell, ya’ll!! How can he not make my top 10?!

Shade/Shift (Shade Series) by Jeri Smith-Ready (Cheated on this one…)
These characters are ones I continue to follow…on twitter, nonetheless, hehe.

Zachary and Logan are not to be passed up!

Shatter Me (Shatter Me #1) by Tahereh Mafi
Tahereh’s writing in this book completely blew me away…and oh my hotness…this book had some steamy scenes!!

Succubus Revealed (Georgina Kincaid #6) by Richelle Mead
My dearest Seth…I had to say goodbye to you in this last installment of Georgina Kincaid’s story. But it was brilliantly told, in only the way Richelle Mead can tell a story, heart-wrenchingly amazing. I will miss the whole lot of characters from this series. I loved it.

The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater
So you think you know how beautifully an author can write…and then you read their latest and are blown away in a completely new way. So absolutely loved it…

We’ll Always Have Summer (Summer #3) by Jenny Han
Oh, man…this story completely stole my heart. I read all three books in one weekend and automatically became a favorite of mine. CONRAD FOREVER!

Where She Went (If I Stay #2) by Gayle Forman
The intensity of emotions in these pages enraptured me. It held my heart, and squeezed until I thought I would explode…then came this release, and I felt I could breathe again. It was…whoa. Just…so much…everything!

You Against Me by Jenny Downham
This is another one of those books that got into my bones…I loved the writing, which made the story so unbelievable great. You MUST read this book soon if you haven’t yet!

I really, really want to read You Against Me, because it sounds controversial and different and like a book that will make you feel something!

    ALSO CRICKET BELL FOREVA!

  2. Catherine Coffman

Awesome list!  I enjoyed a lot of these as well.  It’s soooo hard to keep it to ten though!

  3. Sweetgreentangerine

Love your list!!  First…I am currently reading Delirium, I think because you suggested it & it was on sale on Kindle.  So far, I LOVE it. BUT I hate starting a series unless they’re all out…I’m impatient & I hate waiting. LOL
Second…I find it funny that you list your TOP TEN and I listed ALL of the books I read this year…which happens to be TEN.  LOL it was a rough year of reading for me.  I hope 2012 is better.  I will have to check out The Clockwork Prince.  I didnt pick it up because I wasn’t a fan of City of Bones.
And last, this is my new favorite blog…you actually read a lot of the same stuff I read & that’s rare…teen fiction & paranormal-romance.  Don’t find that everyday.
    Anyway…long comment. sorry.  here’s my list  http://sweet-green-tangerine.blogspot.com/2011/12/2011-what-i-read-this-year.html

  4. Tara Anderson

I read Before I Die by Jenny Downham, but now I’ll have to check out You Against Me. And I cannot wait for Pandemonium! Delirium didn’t make my list because I didn’t like the middle of the book that much, but I think the ending left a lot of potential for the sequel.

    My List!

  5. Michele

Oooh great picks!! Wendy from A Cupcake and a Latte gave me You Against Me.. Totally just bumped it higher on my TBR list seeing it on your list now! :) Shatter Me – phenomenal! I’m reading Clockwork Angel right now.. so will have to get to C.P. soon! :)

    Thanks for stopping by!Michele | Top 10

  6. Asheley (@BookwormAsheley)

Oh my goodness, the only one I’ve read from this list is Shatter Me, which was incredible! I did just buy Delirium, which is a good thing because I won’t be LEFT OUT anymore since everyone else in the world has read it but me.  :)

Also, I’ve been having a fit to read Scorpio Races, but I just haven’t done that. I need to get to it, pronto! I’ve read mixed reviews of it, which makes me want to read it more.

  7. Alexa (Alexa Loves Books)

Cricket Bell is awesome. Stephanie Perkins has made it virtually impossible for me to decide if I like him or St. Clair better (though Cricket is much more my type in real life, I’d say). I loved Lola & The Boy Next Door so much!

And The Scorpio Races – fantastic stuff. I’m a huge Maggie Stiefvater fan. And this book was just another example of her brilliant, brilliant writing.

  8. Tee

Oh my gosh, Shade and Shift. I forgot those!  And The Scorpio Race was fantastic!  I really, really need to read Shatter Me.  Good list! :)

  9. Christie Cote

awesome list! I’m reading clockwork Angel right now! I really want to read Delirium, shatter me and you against me. I just got Shatter me so I can’t wait to read it ;) Thanks for visiting my blog :) I’m following you I like your blog it looks very nice.

  10. Michael

I haven’t read any of the books on your list. I want to read most of them though. I can’t wait to read Shatter me. You picked some really good looking ones. =]
    Here is My Top Ten

  11. Sarah Andersen

I just let one of my students borrow You Against Me even though I really want to read it. I’ll have to read it once she gives it back.  I’m glad you liked Delirium so much! I still haven’t read that either. Great list!

  12. Tiger Holland

Oh, I let the Scorpio Races pass right through my hands! I had a copy and gave it away. Must relocate this book…

  13. Nikki

Ooh, such great choices! I love your reasonings. Ugh, those emotions from a great book are just the best and worst! Which Delirium (and all of the rest) delivered perfectlty. I am so excited for Pandemonium, too. I just need to know what happens to Alex.

Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier. New follower!

  17. Giraffe Days

Lots of great books for me to look into here! I’m definitely going to check out Shatter Me. I have If I Stay because a friend absolutely loves both of these books (I’m sure Where She Went is on her Top Ten list too!)
