Top Ten Tuesday: Most Frustrating Characters Ever

Oh, this Top Ten Tuesday… I thought I’d have a harder time than I did picking out ten characters, but nope. Can’t decide if this is good or bad. lol Oh, well. I should say that I love these characters though. Even if they frustrated me at times. I bet I’m going to see a lot of fun answers! Let’s do this!

Also, you can click on the names if you don’t know who they are. They’re linked to their book. :)

1. KATNISS

– Don’t even. YOU KNOW WHY!!

2. ROSE

– The girl is imposing and she’s hard-headed. And she definitely doesn’t take “No” for an answer. Sometimes you just want her to shut up and listen for once. I love her though. Truly a kick-ass heroine.

3. EUGENIE

– Just chalk this one up to BAD DECISIONS ALL AROUND.

4. CALLA

– Because a lot of her choices had a lot of seriously bad repercussions. And it hurt a lot of people. Some even died!

5. AISLINN

– This would-be Summer Queen didn’t get her crap together until well into the series. And she strung along a certain character who was equally frustrating because he wanted someone other than Aislinn. Love squares!

6. EVA/GIDEON

– I LIED! I don’t love everyone on this list! I do NOT love drama queens. And I do NOT love possessive/needy men. Ew.

7. RHINE

– Uhm, selfish much? She just came off as a user, only using people to better their situation. Whatever. Ok, I don’t love her either. I LIED AGAIN!

8. ZOEY

– OMG! WHAT is this obsession with Brandon?! Let go and let Doug!obsidian

9. JULIETTE

– Def my most mild pick, but there were moments in the second book where I just wanted to shake her! GAH!

10. DAEMON

– He was mean, y’all!! And SO hot and cold!! I like him better in the second book though, so we’ve made our peace. :)

What characters frustrated you??

With the exception of Katniss and Juliette I don’t think I’m familiar w/ any of these other characters. I definitely agree with those two though.

Rose sure did that A LOT. And it was infuriating sometimes! Juliette aside, you should read SHATTER ME because it is AMAZING!

Ugh! Just thinking about Rhine makes me upset. lol And even though Daemon made this list, trust me when I say my frustrations with him are LESS by the second book, so don’t be scared to read it! :D

This totally doesn’t surprise me. :) DUDE. Now we know we’re NOT alone with our Katniss frustrations. Funny about the backlash worry. I felt the same when in my review of Divergent I think I said I liked Tris better, or the book, as a whole, better than THG. I got one girl very upset with me, lol.

hehehe, I am rather proud of that one. :) Glad other people are liking it.

Do not get me started on Calla. I barely made it through the first book. She was all over the place. Rose and Katniss for sure, but I love them too. I’m holding out hope for Juliette to kick some ass in book 3. And MAKE A DECISION. It will get worse if you don’t!, lady! Oh Daemon. Thankfully, you’re hot. Thankfully, Katy does put you in your place.

LOL, poor Calla. I love Rose and Juliette. Katniss is more of a tolerable like, lol. And Daemon completely wooed me in Onyx, damn him! lol

You’re totally right about Daemon and company. And I had a feeling Katniss might show up on a few. :)

  3. Danya

Zoey didn’t make my list but her denial of the situation (she and Brandon were *never* officially a couple!) totally frustrated me. As a reader I wanted to shake some sense into her and make her see reality!

  4. Jenni Elyse

Um, I’m not exactly sure why Katniss is at the top of your list, but I’m going to guess. Is it because she chose Peeta and not Gale? Or, is it because she only married Peeta as a last resort (that’s kind of how I felt)?

Nope, I’m Team Peeta. She’s up there because how she treated Peeta, Gale, her mother, all of the people who made her their icon. She was so down on herself too.

      THAT’S WHAT I’M SAYING!!! GAH! I knew you’d understand that one. :)

  5. Molli

I kinda disliked Daemon in Obsidian, but during Onyx, I will admit – I fell for him. Hard.

Rose. Ahh, Rose is a great heroine, despite her flaws.

Katniss? I’m genuinely curious why. She’s thorny and imho very much an anti-heroine…but I did love her.

Yeah, Daemon totally stole my heart in Onyx. Damn him. I love Rose despite everything too. But Katniss. I just found her so dang frustrating!! Mostly it was her attitude and the way she treated a lot of people.
