Top Ten Tuesday: Series I Haven’t Finished

2012, Top Ten Tuesday

This week for Top Ten Tuesday, we get to pick a past topic that we’ve done, that we missed, or just want round two of. A few weeks ago, I missed the above topic, and I was sad because I have some I want to mention…so here it goes. :)

halo1. Halo series by Alexandra Adornetto – Look at that pretty cover!! Yeah. For some reason I didn’t feel compelled to pick up the other books as soon as possible. I might one day, but I’m not in a hurry.

2. The Demon’s Lexicon Trilogy by Sarah Rees Brennan – Listen. I loooooove this series. And the only reason I haven’t read the last book is because I don’t want it to end. I LOVE IT!

3. Graceling Realm Trilogy by Kristin Cashore – Here’s another instance where I have mixed feelings about reading the last book. Especially since there are so many mixed reviews on this book. I’m scared I won’t love it!

4. Need series by Carrie Jones – This is a series I’ve mostly experienced through audiobooks. I really enjoy it. The narrator is really fun and does great accents. I want to finish it through audiobooks, I just haven’t been listening to a lot lately.

5. Fallen series by Lauren Kate – Believe it or not, I really like the story and mystery behind Daniel and Luce’s love story and I have only to read the last book to find out what in the world keeps happening to them…but then it will be over. I’m sentimental, ok!! lol

6. The Immortals series by Alyson Noel – I kind of lost interest in this series. It started out really great, then the middle books were not, but it started picking up again. I have only the last book to read, and I plan to read it…just not in a hurry.

7. Maze Runner series by James Dashner – I really liked the first book, Maze Runner, and I actually own the rest of the series…I don’t really know what the hold up is. #confused

8. Dark-Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon – This series is really good. There’s also like a million books in it. I’m only on book 5…out of 18. EIGHTEEN! I just got intimidated by the number of books in this series. I do own a lot of them, and I do plan to get to them…one day.

9. Divergent Trilogy by Veronica Roth – The only reason for this particular hold up is that I’d rather suffer a little now and wait until it’s closer to the release of the third book to read Insurgent…because I know the wait might kill me! It’s all about self preservation, that’s all.

10. Bloodlines series by Richelle Mead – So the reason I was waiting to read this one was exactly the same as with Divergent…but then I just found out there will be six books instead of just three! I might as well throw caution to the wind and suffer along with the masses.

I still haven’t read Bitterblue either but I’m not scared it’s bc I know it’s a time commitment being so huge! And yes you must finish The Maze Runner books…they are sooo awesome!

Great list! I feel the same way about Divergent and Bloodlines. I read the first books, but I am definitely waiting for the others. I also haven’t finished the Maze Runner series despite the fact that I own all of the books!

How bad am I that I have yet to even START some of these? Ahhh. I’ve suffered through waits for VA books, so I don’t want to go through that again. lol I’ve decided to wait till a few more books are out in the Bloodlines series, before I start reading. I’ve been buying them, though.

And I really need to read Kristin Cashore’s trilogy as well!

Divergent <3 I loved it! I can't wait for the third book. I'm not a huge fan of Fallen and Need. I really want to read most of the books on your list., especially Bloodlines & Graceling realms.

Oh my gosh, laughed out loud when I saw your Maze Runner unfinished business. I too own the full series and still it stays unfinished. Full Disclosure: Pretty sure I went so far as to PRE ORDER the last two in the series! Which btw are the final book and a prequel…so does that make them the first and the last in the series? Hmm…something to ponder as I drink an afternoon coffee…and blatantly ignore all my own unfinished business ;)

  6. The Avid Reader

Oh, I really like this topic… I never finished Vampire Academy, which is weird because I LOVED the first several books, but I just never bothered with the last one (and I own it!)

  7. Fictitious Musings

Ditto on almost all of these series. The Dark-Hunter series is one of my absolute favs. Kenyon is fabulous and her characters are raw and gritty. They’re like potato chips you can’t read just one. LOL. :)

I always try to wait for the series to be complete before I read it because I hate waiting! I never hold out like I want to, but I try.
And how were you even able to resist finishing The Maze Runner series?? I couldn’t put down those books if I tried. :)
