TGIF is a weekly feature created and hosted by GReads! that re-caps the week’s posts and has different question each week.

Spooktacular Reads: Which books do you consider festive Halloween reads? Which stories have chilled you to the bone?

My main suggestion for a spooky enough Halloween read is the Forest of Hands and Teeth series by Carrie Ryan. The zombies, combined with the dystopian setting, plus the helpless emotions these characters are feeling? Yea, it’s perfect for Halloween. (Read my review of The Dark and Hollow Places HERE)

Another creepy book would be The Body Finder by Kimberly Derting. The suspense is pretty terrifying! A serial killer on the loose…possibly closer to you than you think. *shudders* (Read my review of Desire of the Dead HERE)

The Name of the Star by Maureen Johnson is one I’ve read recently that had some really gory scenes. It’s the Jack the Ripper…the name alone is scary enough! (Read my review HERE)

Follow Friday

Follow My Book Blog Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee’s View and Alison Can Read where we all get together and say HI!

If you could have dinner with your favorite book character, who would you eat with and what would you serve?

I want a person who’s going to make me laugh through this dinner, so they have to be witty, charming, but also sweet. And we’d go out for Mexican food because that’s my favorite and they want to make me happy. I could think of two particular character who would be perfect…

Etienne St. Clair from Anna and the French Kiss and/or Dexter from This Lullaby.
