TGIF is a weekly feature created and hosted by GReads! that re-caps the week’s posts and has different question each week.

This week’s question: Reading Resolutions: What are some of your reading goals for the new year?

I want to read more of the insane number of unread books on my actual shelves. How many books is that, you ask? See below…

I’m going to try and review everything I read, but it most likely won’t happen, and I’m ok with that. I’m just going to try and do my best. :)

Follow Friday

Follow My Book Blog Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee’s View and Alison Can Read where we all get together and say HI!

This week’s question: Go count the number of unread books sitting on your shelf. How many?

I think these kind of questions are made out to make me look like a crazy book person….Ready?

441….this includes physical books I’ve bought, have been gifted to me, and ARCs..I don’t even want to include eBooks, LOL.

*UPDATE – Well, as suspected, your responses are making me feel like there’s something wrong with me, but it’s probably just my own guilt for buying so many bargain books one too many times, lol. So let me just add that I want to create a home library…a room full of books with comfortable seating and great light. So this is me working towards that. :)

Seriously 440? OMG! Girl that would take me 4 years to get through and that doesn’t even count the ones flowing in! You’ve got yourself a good little library there!

It’s okay, bargin books are addictive.  I’m not close to your number, but I could quite possible get there.

No, we would never think you’re a crazy book person.  LOL But that is a serious number of books.  Are you going to read them all?

If your end goal is to create a home library (something that we share in common), 441 books is a good number to start. You don’t wanna know how many books I’ve collected since I was a kid – it’s a LOT (but I can definitely say that I’ve read all of the ones I have in the Philippines) – but I say you’re well on your way to a great library someday.

I have about 1/4 the amount of unread books that you do, which I’m hoping to remedy. My review books are getting in the way though, so that project won’t even start until February. Oh, and that’s just the physical stuff because I don’t even want to think about my eBook collection, haha.

    Here’s my TGIF post!

I feel you on the extreme number of unread, owned books. I won’t say what my number is, but let’s just say I purchase boxes and boxes of books at library book sales.

Just stopping by to say hello. Great goals. Don’t feel guilty. Bargain books are hard to resist and we all have things we want to improve on. Home library idea is awesome. I have one. It makes it a lot easier to identify the books you haven’t read yet. Happy reading. Keep it shiny!

Don’t fret…you aren’t crazy.  I guessed mine would be around 500.  I have over 1500 books total, but I’d like to think I’ve read over half of them.  Who knows?  My unread count could be a lot higher!

But I totally hear ya, when I bought my first home the only thing I was thinking about was “Which room would make the best library?!?!?”  Three years, and six huge book shelves later, I’ve made it happen!  Good luck with yours! :-D

    Happy Blog Hop!
