TGIF is a weekly feature created and hosted by GReads! that re-caps the week’s posts and has different question each week.
This week’s question: Love Stories: What are some of your favorite fictional love stories?
GAH!! SO many!! I’ll try to narrow it down to a few….
Jamie & Claire – Outlander by Diana Gabaldon: Come. ON! These two…their love and their marriage is so strong. I don’t want to spoil it for anyone, but in between what they go through in book two, Dragonfly in Amber, and book 3, Voyager, I thought, “There’s no way this can work.” Well, Diana Gabaldon proved me wrong. Jamie & Claire’s love transcends time and space and war and continents. If you have not picked up this epicness of a story — oh, so epic — you must do it soon.
Conrad & Belly – The Summer series by Jenny Han: Meant-to-be love, that’s what they have. From the time they were little kids! It was so obvious to everyone…and then life happened. *sigh* Following their story was tough because it was so heartbreaking most of the time! But it’s also why in the end it’s all worth it…the end of this series is one of my all time favorites.
Joe & Lennie – The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson: Ok, so! Some people might not like Lennie in this book because of her actions. She feels lost and depressed and makes some bad decisions. However, letting Joe in was not one of them. Joe and Lennie together are the epitome of first love…batshit-crazy-in-love love. That dreamy kind that has you in the clouds. They have that.
And last but by no means least….
Seth & Georgina – The Succubus series by Richelle Mead: First – Don’t judge this series by its covers, which I admit are terrible. The love story in this series is one we all imagine and wonder if it may be real in real life. Reincarnation, soul-mates…yes, it is that romantic! With obstacles of hellish proportions…READ IT!!!
This week’s question: What would your prefer: reading your favorite book over and over again until you got sick of it OR reading 100s of mediocre books? And why?
Who came up with this question?!?! Why do you like to torture me with this kinds of choices???? LOL
Honestly…I think I might have to go with the 100s of mediocre. Reading my favorite over and over would lessen its luster, in my opinion. And I want to dive into new worlds and characters all the time, even if they’re not stunning.
