TGIF is a weekly feature created and hosted by GReads! that re-caps the week’s posts and has different question each week.

This week’s question: Book Series Finales: Which book, from any series has been your favorite ending? What about your least favorite ending?

All of the following gave me closure in the most hopeful, beautiful way. All I want is for the author to give me enough to be happy but not so much that I can’t picture their future for myself, and all of these three gave me that.

That’s also the reason I don’t have a least favorite series ending, because all the ones I’ve read have given me that…to some degree. Maybe not as beautifully or as complete as these three, but there have always been moments in the beginning or middle or end that I’ve really loved.

Follow Friday

Follow My Book Blog Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee’s View and Alison Can Read where we all get together and say HI!

This week’s question: Have you ever bought a book BECAUSE of a bad review?

No, I don’t think so. But I have never NOT bought a book because of a bad review either. So, really, bad reviews never affect my book purchases. Positive reviews will though, which is weird. I will buy a book if there’s a lot of love out there for it.

My favorite ending would always be the ending of the Cirque du Freak series! I also am unaffected by bad reviews but am affected by enthusiastic reviews!

    Jessica@a GREAT read

Almost went with Succubus Revealed, but the first book I thought of was something else!

Also agree about not buying books based on bad reviews. Too many other books I gotta read, hardly any time to take a chance!

All of those books look really good!  I have bought a book because of a bad review and loved it :) I think that good reviews affect me more than negative reviews also!

Yes, I chose Where She Went too! It’s the perfect ending and wrap up for If I Stay.  And agreed on reviews; bad ones might pique my interest to check it out from a library, but only positive reviews will influence me to buy an unread book.

Where She Went and Succubus Revealed did have great endings! A beautiful rainbow waiting at the end of that very emotional tunnel! I would both good and bad reviews peak my curiosity for books. It just depends what the reviewer points out.

Yeah I probably wouldn’t not buy a book I really wanted because of reviews, but people comment on bad reviews I’ve written and say they’re not going to read it because of the review…which makes me feel bad but also happy they won’t have to suffer through a terrible book!

Old follower- I just love it here!

Hopping through. :) I don’t really have a favorite ending.. Maybe because I haven’t read that many series that have been finished.

I’m a sucker for ever after. Doesn’t have to be perfect, but I need to be able to visualize them. Also, I’m going to be reading the summer series this month and am excited!

I really need to read Where She Went! I was going to start it right after If I Stay, but I got distracted and then I just forgot about it… Maybe this weekend :)

Where She Went is a great choice! I had mixed feelings about the end of the “Summer” series.  I haven’t read the Georgina Kincaid series.

So true! Negative reviews almost never affect affect my choices unless it convinces me that it’s REALLY not for me. But positive reviews have made me try out books I normally wouldn’t give a chance! :D Follower by Linky! Happy friday!

I had a hard time coming up with a least favorite series ending too. I finally did come up with one after perusing my shelves on Shelfari. But, like you, most series give me some sort of closure, whether it’s exact the way I want it or not. Great answer!

I read and loved the first Georgina Kincaid book, but haven’t continued the series yet…what’s wrong with me?  I just bought If I Stay so I’m excited to see that you enjoyed the series.

Like you, I rarely let negative reviews effect my purchases.  But, I do buy books if there is a multitude of good reviews…don’t know why the double standard…

New follower. I wouldn’t buy a book just because of a bad review, but I wouldn’t let a bad review effect my decision on buying a book if it was one I was interested in.

I only read Richelle Mead’s Vampire Academy series and enjoyed it massively. Is the Succubus series as good?
And I also listed Where She Went. I love this book and especially the ending is so perfect. I’m already swooning again :)

*sobs* Where She Went was so beautiful. Painful but beautiful.
My most recent favorite series ending would have to be Head Rush for Carolyn Crane’s Disillusionist trilogy. It was twisty turn right up the end with a great conclusion.
