TGIF!

This week’s TGIF! question: Reading Blues: We all get them from time to time. What helps you overcome those reading slumps when nothing seems to grab your attention?

I try to change up the genre. Or go from YA to Adult or vice versa. When that doesn’t work, I usually drown myself in tv shows. I can do that for a couple of days and usually by that time I’m ready to read again. :)

Follow Friday

This week’s Follow Friday question: Have you had a character that disappointed you? One that you fell in love with and then “broke up” with later on in either the series or a stand-alone book? Tell us about him or her.

Yes! Kiyo from Richelle Mead’s Dark Swan series. I seriously loved him in the first book….by the second book I disliked him. By the last two books I wanted to murder him. MURDER!!!

Yeah sometimes I just need some time away from a book and then I’ll want to get back to it.

    Have a great weekend!

Did you really like Kiyo?? See I never did, those damn scratches. I was always like if someone did that to me I would neuter them…! Happy Early Friday!

I’ve been reading everyone’s answers about the character that let you down and I keep thinking “I wouldn’t have any idea of who to choose” but you just answered it for me, Kiyo! I totally changed my mind about him, he really let us down, didn’t he? Great answer!

  4. Jessica@a GREAT read

Yeah Kiyo totally bugged me in that way too!!

I hardly ever get into reading slumps myself, I tend to find the right book so I stick with it!

Same here – I usually take a little time off reading if I’m in a slump, and then reach for something short & interesting.

I found that changing up the genre helps a ton! Oh and let’s not forget TV. Sometimes I just need a really good excuse to lounge around for days at a time :)

I agree, Kiyo is so annoying, it’s terrible, I really don’t like him at all!!!
