And I Quote: What are some of your favorite book quotes?

“I myself am made entirely of flaws, stitched together with good intentions.” — Augusten Burroughs (Magical Thinking: True Stories)

“All the books we own, both read and unread, are the fullest expression of self we have at our disposal. … But with each passing year, and with each whimsical purchase, our libraries become more and more able to articulate who we are, whether we read the books or not.” — Nick Hornby (The Polysyllabic Spree)

“When the day shall come that we do part,” he said softly, and turned to look at me, “if my last words are not ‘I love you’ – ye’ll ken it was because I didna have time.” — Diana Gabaldon (The Fiery Cross)

“Love is rarely flawless,” Carter pointed out. “Humans delude themselves by thinking it has to be. It is the imperfection that makes love perfect.” — Richelle Mead (Succubus Blues)

“You’re beautiful and sad,” I said finally, not looking at him when I did. “Just like your eyes. You’re like a song that I heard when I was a little kid but forgot I knew until I heard it again.” For a long moment there was only the whirring sound of the tires on the road, and then Sam said softly, “Thank you.” — Maggie Stiefvater (Shiver)

“HAPPINESS [is] ONLY REAL WHEN SHARED” — Jon Krakauer (Into the Wild)

“There is no pretending,” Jace said with absolute clarity. “I love you, and I will love you until I die, and if there is life after that, I’ll love you then.” — Cassandra Clare (City of Glass)

“Sometimes love means letting go when you want to hold on tighter.” — Melissa Marr (Ink Exchange)

“Seth was a wonderful kisser. He gave the kind of kisses that melted into your mouth and filled you with sweetness. They were like cotton candy.” — Richelle Mead (Succubus Dreams)

Follow Friday

Follow My Book Blog Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee’s View where we all get together and say HI!

Genre Wars! What’s your favorite genre and which book in that genre made it your favorite?

LOL! I don’t have ONE favorite genre!! BUT! I have been leaning so much toward Contemporary lately…both in YA and Adult Romance. There isn’t one specific book that started this kick though. My reading ratio has been about 3:1. Three Contemporary books to every one Paranormal/Fantasy/Urban-Fantasy/Dystopian/Sci-fi. That’s a HUGE difference from last year, where it was mostly all Paranormal! I’m really enjoying it and do see it changing soon.

Book Blogger Hop

Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme hosted by Crazy for Books where you have an awesome opportunity to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books! It will also give blog readers a chance to find other book blogs to read!

How many books are currently in your To-Be-Read (TBR) Pile?

According to my “combined-to-read-list” (which is comprised of books on my shelves at home and ebooks in my 2 ereaders) on Goodreads.com, I have 317 (and I suspect it’s short a few…it’s probably around 325 to 330). The number keeps growing faster than it’s going down, but I’m not going to let that terrify me just yet. :)
