Show & Tell | Characters Mash-up | Fave Spooky Series

This week on Gone with the Words:
Tune in Tuesday – Soundtrack Edition: Once
Waiting on Wednesday: Life Is but a Dream
Review: The Name of the Star by Maureen Johnson
Review: Passion by Lauren Kate

TGIF is a weekly feature created and hosted by GReads! that re-caps the week’s posts and has different question each week.

Show & Tell: Where do you grab a book and get lost in it? Show us your favorite spot you like to read at.

This one’s easy!! That would be my bed! There’s nothing particulary special about my bed, it’s just where I’m most comfortable while reading. And my lamp provides the perfect reading light…and my books are always within reach on my floating bookshelf. :)

Follow Friday

Follow My Book Blog Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee’s View and Alison Can Read where we all get together and say HI!

If you could have characters from a particular book meet and form an epic storyline with characters from a particular TV series, which would you choose and why?

Blue Bloods series by Melissa de la Cruz & Gossip Girl – Duh. Mimi is pretty much Blair…except Mimi would totally slap Serena around like she needs to be slapped.

Book Blogger Hop

Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme hosted by Crazy for Books where you have an awesome opportunity to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books! It will also give blog readers a chance to find other book blogs to read!

What is your favorite spooky book (i.e. mystery/suspense, thriller, ghost story, etc.)?

Carrie Ryan’s dystopian, zombie filled world is pretty dang scary. The possibility of being bitten and turned into a zombie or being mauled by a mob of zombies really kept me up at night. But what stayed with me was the possibility of losing those I love in a world like that. You should really check out this series if you haven’t already.
