Top Ten Tuesday: 2014 Sequels I Meant To Read But Didn't Get To

Happy Tuesday!

Last week I shared with you the 2014 Releases I Meant To Read But Didn’t Get To, but I wasn’t done. I realized I also had enough 2014 sequels or duology/trilogy/series enders that I also didn’t get to! So, today being a freebie topic I’m sharing them with you now.

Burn Bright (Dark Star #2) by Bethany Frenette
The Immortal Crown (Age of X #2) by Richelle Mead
Sinner (The Wolves of Mercy Falls #4) by Maggie Stiefvater
Harder (Caroline & West #2) by Robin York
Promise Me This (Between Breaths #4) by Christina Lee
Timestorm (Tempest #3) by Julie Cross
Nantucket Red (Nantucket #2) by Leila Howland

Did you read the first one in that new Richelle Mead series? I wondered if it was good. I love Vampire Academy and Bloodlines but haven’t tried Gameboard of the Gods.

I absolutely loved the Wolves of Mercy Falls trilogy, but I just could not get into Sinner. I really tried, but I don’t think I finished it. The cover artwork is absolutely beautiful though! Your currently reading A Court of Thorns and Roses?! I’m so looking forward to this book. Let me know how you like it so far! Love the blog!

As a HUGE fan of the Outlander books, I was desperate to read Written In My Own Heart’s Blood. Until I started reading it and it took me more than 2 weeks to finish. :sigh: Was really disappointed – that long wait, and then….nothing. Mind you, everyone else I know loved it. LOL. So it just must be me. :D

I loved the first book in the Age of X series and I have Immortal Crown on my shelf. I think it’s full of dust because I haven’t picked it up since I bought it… You should definitely read Isla and the Happily Ever After, it’s a nice ending to this series. I think you’ll love it :)
Also I’m kind of afraid to read the second book in Outlander series, because the first one wrecked me completely… *sigh*

But great choice of books all in all. Happy Tuesday!

I’m just terrible with series. I rarely read past the first book, unless I’m totally into the series (but that doesn’t happen often) or if they are more like companion novels. I’ve only read Isla on your list, but I did love it. Highly recommend it.

I have been meaning to carry on with the Outlander series for a good few months now after completely loving the first book, but for some reason I just haven’t got around to it yet! I don’t think I’m prepared for all the feels… I read the Wolves of Mercy Falls series by Maggie Stiefvater so long ago now that I think I need to reread them before getting to Sinner!
    Hope you’re having a lovely week :)

I didn’t read until ISLA until the end of 2014, but it was so good! And I really liked SINNER; the writing was great, and it was so nice to sort of be back in that world again. And I still need to read basically all of Richelle Mead’s books (I’ve only read VAMPIRE ACADEMY).

Oh! Breathe Annie Breathe was SOOOOOO good. It’s still not my favorite Hundred Oaks book (That’s Stealing Parker!), but it comes a close second for sure. (And just mentioning it makes me want to reread it…). And then there’s Sinner, which is a BEAUTIFUL book to read if you are a Cole fan. And Isla and the Happily Ever After was lovely, as was Nantucket Red! You’ve got some awesome reading ahead ;)

OH MAN. I’m the worst about reading series enders! I’ve had Ruin and Rising, Sister’s Fate and a billion other ones on my Kindle just staring at me.

At least there are a lot of great reads coming up, right? I purchased a few of these myself and am looking forward to getting them read. I hope you have the chance to get to the ones that are really important to you. :)
