Surprisingly enough, there hasn’t been too many books that left me sad at the end…but I dug up a few for you guys. :)
Bloodrose (Nightshade #3) by Andrea Cremer – Oh, man. I guess it’s only heartbreaking if you were rooting for one particular team and not the other. I’m not going to tell you, and PLEASE don’t give spoilers about it in the comments.BUT! If you have read it, YOU KNOW! *bawls* (My Review)
The Demon’s Lexicon (The Demon’s Lexicon #1) by Sarah Rees Brennan – The thing that broke my heart about this book was everything surrounding Nick…and also Alan. Two brothers whose only purpose in life is to protect one another. And then we find out the truth and my heart broke for them. :(
One author makes the list with three books…THREE!!
Shadow Kiss (Vampire Academy #3) by Richelle Mead – I remember sitting in my dark living room, at 3AM, on a workday, in tears! OMG, DIMITRI!! I didn’t know what heartbreak for a character I loved felt like until the end of this book.
Succubus Dreams (Georgina Kincaid #3) by Richelle Mead – So here I was again, in love with another guy Richelle Mead has so perfectly crafted…I was (and still am) very much in love with Seth. The ending to this book completely destroyed me. I mean, I felt like it was happening to me and not the characters! Crazy, right?!
Succubus Heat (Georgina Kincaid #4) by Richelle Mead – So about a week’s gone by since I was utterly destroyed by Succubus Dreams, and I’m ready to see where in the hell it’s going to go from there. I’m still pissed mind you, and our main character is too to top it off, lol. And then what happens? This ending is even worse!! It is not happy at. all!! I am now even more heartbroken, if that’s even possible, lol.(Don’t worry….the next book totally starts to mend my poor, little heart. And then the last book in the series has me soaring with happiness, making it one of my all-time favorites.)
These two broke my heart throughout the whole book, but then redeemed themselves in the end.
We’ll Always Have Summer (Summer #3) by Jenny Han – I spent most of this book in a state of…yearning. It was heart-wrenching knowing two people who are supposed to be together were not. So close and yet so far! It was hard seeing them apart!
Where She Went (If I Stay #2) by Gayle Forman – It’s pretty much the same thing with this one as with We’ll Always Have Summer…yearning, but with so much hurt. This book is just so…so everything! *sigh*
