We’re 3 Years Old Today!

About Life, Other Bookish Posts

I CANNOT believe I’ve had this blog for three years now! Back on January 3rd, 2011, I told myself I would stick this new hobby out. I’d tried blogging about nonsense before but this time I had something to talk about: my renewed love of books! (You can check out that post HERE!)

Since 2011, I’ve read 356 books! It feels so unreal! I’m kind of proud of myself though. Not only for finding something I love to do (reading, blogging, etc), but also for sticking with it! Sure, I’ve had my lulls on the blog throughout the last two years, but I always find my way back (thankfully!). (Sorry not sorry about my love for Jorma Taccone (see guy in gifs who is not Andy Samberg)!)

So! To celebrate this momentous occasion, and to show you guys just how much I love that you’ve stuck it out with me this long, I’m giving away a NOOK SIMPLE TOUCH! YES! It is only open to US residents, though (sorry, INT friends! I’ll do something for you guys soon!).

Congrats Jess!!! Three years is a HUGE milestone! So proud of you for keeping up with your blog and doing such an amazing job with your reviews! Not everyone has it in them to pull it off, but you’ve nailed it!

I’ve been blogging for about 4 years now and I still remember when I was starting Bookish… I didn’t think I would be able to pull it off or keep it up. I’m so like you – I used to start those weird little blogs where I would talk about.. stuff – usually meaningless, every-day stuff! And then I would quickly get bored, forget about it, move on, just so I could start another one of those short-lived blogs in a couple weeks! But then something funny happened… I had this friend who was always so snarky and kind of mean, and when I told her I started a book blog she just sort of laughed at me and said “we’ll see how long this one will live” xD And I gotta say, it’s her mean remark and lack of faith in me that really pushed me to do it right this time!

Anyhoo, this is not about me xD Sorry to bore you! All I really wanted to say is: CONGRATULATIONS! Happy blogoversary and keep doing what you’re doing best! :D *pops champaign and throws confetti in the air*
